One hundred episodes in, and Chris drops the bombshell we’ve been sitting on: he played Loch Lomond — Scotland’s most exclusive golf club — and he did it without us.
This episode is powered by Fourball Draws – where you can win a fourball on some elite courses for just a fiver – visit fourballs.co.uk and use code TOP100 to buy 2 or more tickets and get one absolutely free!
Two years. 100 weekly episodes. 28 courses ticked off the Top 100 (29 if you’re Chris). To mark the milestone, Jim takes the hosting chair and puts us under the microscope: the episode-one memories, the courses we’d play again because we got them wrong first time (Cruden Bay, S&A, West Lancs), whether Silloth has finally been knocked off Chris’s No.1 spot, the courses that blew us away when we least expected it (Delamere, Gullane, Ganton), and inside Loch Lomond’s locker room — the plushest place in golf.
Plus what’s coming: Wentworth with the BMW PGA stands up, Royal Birkdale after The Open, the Old Course, and a date with the Postage Stamp at Troon.
Thank you for every listen, message and follow over 100 episodes. The one thing that actually helps us reach more golfers is you hitting follow right now — here’s to the next hundred.
Nish
Every good story is about the journey. I’m Nish.
Chris
Which way around is it again? I’m Chris.
Nish
I’m Jim. And our journey has hit the 100 episode mark. This is the top 100 in 10 golf podcast. So we are at 100 episodes. I’m wearing a jacket for the occasion to mark the occasion.
Chris
I’m just coming very sweaty from a game of tennis. Chris is straight in from tennis.
Nish
Yeah. Well, I changed the habit of a lifetime, Chris. Oh, shots fired. Look, uh yeah, I’m not sure if I had taken in that we might reach 100 episodes at any point, but pretty big milestone. It’s a lot of episodes. It’s a lot of episodes and ish. That is getting into nearly two years of weekly episodes going out.
Chris
What’s that like? Maybe like 60, 70 hours of us rambling mental. Rambling on about golf.
Jim
Yeah, and that’s pretty much the outtakes either.
Nish
That doesn’t include the outtakes. Imagine how much editing I’ve got said. Well, look, we’ve reached a hundred, it’s a massive thing for us, obviously, and uh we it is a vanity project, of course it is, but we do do it for you out there as well. So look, please do us a favour, we’ll keep trying to produce some ininverted commas quality content for the next hundred episodes. But give us a follow, give us a like, give us a subs a subscribe. The numbers are all heading in the right direction, and uh we are gonna give you a little flavour of where our journey has been and where it’s gonna be heading towards. So I got a uh flavour and taste of you hosting Jim. Wow, I know, I know. Uh of you hosting Jim. I’m quite happy for you to ask a few questions. So on the last, it’s gonna go out. That’s the Swinley review, which is out as we speak, it’s gonna be coming out. So uh yeah, it was good. I enjoyed it. Enjoyed it. It was great. So you can do it again.
Jim
Okay.
Nish
What did I say, channel? You’re in a niche.
Jim
Just waffle through it. Don’t don’t do that, don’t do that. Make it up, make it up.
Nish
It’s enough with one of them. But yeah, we’re I just don’t actually know how I feel. About a hundred episodes, it’s it’s weird. It like when I hit fifty, it was like, oh 50, yeah, fine, whatever. But or like we hit the year anniversary, or it’s like the second Christmas, it’s kind of it doesn’t make any doesn’t you don’t really get them.
Chris
Well, my personality doesn’t really normally let me carry on doing things for that long. I normally get bored and start doing something else.
Nish
The longevity to carry on with it, it’s it’s it’s when you get into the channel and you scroll and it’s like episode, episode, episode, episode, episode.
Jim
So um we’re doing that to try and remember them. I’m trying to do a count of how many I’ve actually been in, because I’ve obviously not been in a hundred. You obviously have. And how many have you been in? Do you reckon that’s seven, eighty?
Chris
Eighty? I don’t know. Eighty? No, less than that.
Jim
Sure.
Chris
Yeah, I reckon sixty. I don’t, I’m not sure. I think you’ve been in like a lot of the winter ones you did on your own. Yeah, there is that. I feel like I’ve not undone one for about six months now.
Nish
It feels sort of like that as well, mate. Carrying the load. You knew that when you signed up this year. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Why do you think there’s three of us here?
Jim
So a hundred podcasts as we’ve uh reached. That’s gone pretty quickly, actually. I do remember the first one. When we all sat together. Where I was introduced. You were introduced.
Nish
Yeah, yeah, you were introduced virtually, and then we sat down. The first one we did was was it talking about Silith, I think. Was that Silith? The first course review we did. Definitely the first course we played.
Chris
That probably would have been because we did like a little intro, I think, didn’t you, to begin with? Like introducing the the challenge.
Nish
Yeah, we didn’t do any sit-down like preview reviews, did we? We just did like oh, just we played a course. Yeah. It’s weird. It’s weird to think back to it all now.
Jim
Like you kind of well, everything evolves, doesn’t it? So, you know, at the start it was just as uh a memento, really, of the whole challenge and the journey that you were you were undertaking and see where it took you thereafter, and then people started to like it and comment on it.
Chris
Now it’s a serious commercial enterprise, Jim.
Jim
Now it’s a serious commitment, yeah.
Chris
Yeah, you can’t say fuck a bugger and all that sort of stuff.
Jim
Well, you can, you just didn’t I don’t think we’ll ever lose the essence of it, but it’s uh yeah, it’s been a it’s been an interesting couple of years anyway since you’ve first started it. What date was it when you when you actually said in this house?
Nish
It would have been around July time.
Chris
When we started the first one we did was in August, wasn’t it? August 2024?
Nish
Yeah.
Chris
24, yeah. So it would have been like June, July time, I think. Maybe even a bit earlier than that. I think it’s been a little while for us to actually like it was maybe like May time.
Nish
I think then you went, Oh, I think I found the first one I want to play and it’s not expensive. And it was like, alright, okay, let’s do it. Yeah. What do you mean it’s not expensive? They’re all expensive in these courses. But yeah, I mean we’ve what as of last week just a few days ago. We took round to course number 28. Yeah. 27-28 in the space of 48 hours. Yeah. Yeah. It was yeah, I mean, just the pace is a bit surprising, actually, isn’t it? You know how how uh organized and quickly we’ve managed to get through. Yeah, we’ll have to stretch them out now. Make it last 10 years somehow.
Jim
But um yeah, it’s uh Well, that’s when you start looking at the courses that have dropped in and out of the uh the actual official top 100 and all.
Nish
We don’t talk about rankings now. Oh ranking. It’s like it’s like the swear word now, isn’t it? Rankings. Yeah, we’ve we’ll sort of keep skirting around the subject, don’t we? Like what we’re doing, and then we have an agile consensus on what we want to do.
Jim
So I’ve got a question for Chris actually. Oh, hello. What’s the prep for this, Jim? I think it’s quite absolutely well. I’m I’m looking forward to the response to this, in fact. Uh but obviously started this two years ago now. Your concept, your idea, then Nish kind of took over and turned it into this massive event. And it is a bit a big event. It’s a juggernaut, mate. It is a juggernaut. Um you knew him reasonably well beforehand. Okay, yeah. So, what have you learnt about Nish over the last 100 episodes? I want to know. Yeah, I mean, nothing good, Jim. That’s what I’ve been hoping, and I’m sure that’s what the audience are hoping for as well.
Chris
What have I learned about Nish? Do you know what the most annoying thing I’ve not learned about Nish? Oh well. No, no, no. I haven’t finished yet. I’m not finished yet. It’s gonna be a back-handed compliment this one. No, no, I’m not happy about this. So, like, golf is a game that’s supposed to bring in all your emotions, but mostly it’s supposed to make you angry, I think. I’m pretty sure that’s the idea. Supposed to make you unhappy, supposed to make you never want to play golf ever again. And then there’s the occasional bit of like fun and like joy that comes in it every now and again. Yeah, but Nish always plays golf with a smile on his face, which is pretty annoying to be honest. Like, however bad it gets, however bad his golf is, he never lets it, never lets it get to him, which is really frustrating to me. That’s exactly why I do it.
Nish
Inwardly, I’m like, oh god, this is really it’s like the the Lenny in The Simpsons when he has a facelift and he’s like and you’re like, Oh, look at Lenny, he’s the happiest man in the world. He’s like, I’m so unhappy.
Jim
Well, I think the secret is out anyway, Nish, bearing in mind your previous occupation. Plastic surgery. It’s the only way to enjoy golf. His face is not really moving, it’s AI. Yeah. So is that it? You’ve not got anything actually nasty to say about it. No, I know I know you wouldn’t anyway, but because Oh, I would yeah.
Nish
What could you say? Oh, actually, what I would what could you say that would be nasty? I mean, there’s plenty, isn’t there, but unbroadcastable problem? Yeah, let’s keep it let’s keep it for now. Let’s keep it jolly. Let’s keep it PG 13.
Chris
Let’s keep it PG 13 and let’s keep it let’s keep it nice.
Nish
Yeah, we want to get our average for course spend down to £50 per course. So you know, we need this to carry on. The fact that Nish is a tall prick is not it doesn’t useless information. It’s completely useless, it’s irrelevant. Absolutely. It’s totally irrelevant. Yeah, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah. Please play golf with us.
Jim
What’s the most difficult thing that’s been what’s been the hardest part of actually continuing with this? Not necessarily the challenge, but obviously the podcast for you because it’s quite commitment, you know. If you’re sending, if you’re putting out a because I think you set out set your stores out to do one release every Tuesday. Wow prick. Wow.
Chris
This is your last question to me was completely useless, completely unrequired. People can sit and listen to Nish and they can make their own judgments on why Nish is a prick. Exactly.
Jim
When you sat there in the car, they’re thinking, Oh, for fuck’s sake, it’s that it’s too early, so early in the morning I got to Scotland, and you know it’s 5 a.m. and I’m driving up there, and it’s like, oh, somebody rabbiting on about no, I think how excited they are and how wonderful it is, and taking photos of everything, and you’re trying to sleep and slobber falling down the side of your mouth, and then he’s taking selfies and yeah, and posting on Instagram.
Chris
Sorry, I know we’re kind of going back to the question, but like I think me and Nish say this to each other most times we go out, and we both at some point, usually during the day, go, How fucking lucky are we? Yeah, like it’s really it’s really difficult to not enjoy pretty much every moment of what we’re doing because like we’re just traipsing around the country playing amazing golf courses, right? Like, what’s not to like? What’s not not to like, absolutely.
Nish
Um yeah, we’re just appreciative, aren’t we, of the fact that it’s it’s just the luckiest thing in the world, yeah. You know, and we’re playing some of the greatest golf courses that have ever been conceived by the human mind and built, and we’re getting a chance to go and play it. Yeah, we get to go and hack our way around it. Chat shit about it, yeah. Yeah, but we’re just people message you to say I found that interesting or funny or relatable or whatever, and you’re like, Oh, okay, right. Still don’t think that’s the thing that strikes me most about the hundred episodes is how much that is accelerating the people just go, I discovered this episode because I’m playing. I use an example because it came up recently, it’s Hollinwell, and searched Hollinwell on Spotify. Your episode came up and I really enjoyed it. Actually, what you said about this, this, this, and this, I found was right, or or no, you were talking absolute volatile, you know, that kind of thing. Um, it is amazing. I think somebody said that I didn’t realise that you could actually go and have a drink from the the well until I heard your your podcast. I thought it was just a bit of a myth thing, sort of thing. I was alright. Well, I mean, we didn’t, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t want to die, but um, yeah, you you know, you could do that. That’s that’s great. Yeah, absolutely. What a lovely thing to hear from people. So public service we’re we’re offering in. I know. I mean it was my wife that said that, but uh yeah, I know.
Jim
Just
Jim
on that point, I mean, if somebody searched specifically for a particular golf course and then that came up with the your podcast. Um if you were to having listened and recorded all the episodes, if somebody hasn’t been following the the journey, and why not? And why not? Why not like and subscribe?
Nish
Like and subscribe and subscribe.
Jim
Is there any any one particular episode that you would say that jumps out? Listen to that one.
Nish
Oh god, that is a brilliant question. One episode that jumps out. I mean, the problem with the early ones is that we I think we had a re a lot of good content early early doors because it’s fresh excitement, whatever, and it’s like I’m not saying we we go routine with anything, but we have more of a structure now as so we need things that we want to discuss. But it was literally just rambling on it at the start, and I think has that changed? No, but it’s but it’s structured rambling. Structured rambling. I still think the one we did about More Town, where that was called the Blag, and that was like the first time we tried to like influence our way into getting to a golf course completely unprotentively, and it still hasn’t worked, but um, it was the first attempt at trying to like sweet talk somebody into just knocking a fiver off our round to golf, and it was such a disaster, but it was a great story, and it was just like, Oh, we’re in this world here where actually I don’t think that’s gonna happen, you know, that’s not gonna work. It it is you need people to say, please come and play with me, and I I’m I’m a member here, and and that gets us on. And that was like, right, this is harder now, we’ve got to actually go and network, yeah, speak to people, and but this would be a great way to open that up, you know, to absolutely and think about some of the guests we’ve managed to get on here.
Chris
We’ve managed to have Sophie Walker of Sky Sports on. She’s covering Birkdale at the weekend. Absolutely. We’ve had Tom Young, you know, uh psychologist for the European Rider Cup team. Welsh number one, Welsh number one golfer, Zen Green stage on here as well. There’s Jim occasionally. I mean the list just goes on.
Nish
It’s just we’re scraping the barrel. Yeah, yeah, look back, we’ve done well. We’ve done well, I think. Um but yeah, I think that that episode for me, because I was like raw, fresh, didn’t really have anything apart from just let’s just set the microphones up and let’s just roll and see how it goes. Fresh faced youngsters with naive. Yeah, yeah.
Chris
I was still in my 30s, Jim. You were didn’t hurt after every little bit of exercise I did back then. Jim was still coming now.
Nish
Jim was Jim was still unemployed at that point as well. Oh, I was.
Chris
I was how things change, you know, two years. Oh, it’s nice to see you two growing up. We’ve all we’ve all at some point in the last two years been unemployed. It’s polite in there. Yeah. I mean you’re perennially unemployed, yeah, yeah. I mean, but unemployable. It’s a good uh yeah, you’re right.
Nish
You were right. So there you go. Life changes.
Jim
Ball fool us anyway, isn’t it? Indeed. Needs must and all that. Gotta pay bills.
Nish
Gotta pay bills, yeah. Yeah. Marry a rich, mate. That’s the way forward. That’s what I didn’t do. Who’s rich? Nobody. That’s the problem.
Jim
And just reflecting back on some of the rounds that you’ve had. Um, what were the worst weather conditions that you faced over the the last 20 years?
Chris
You’ve been really pretty damn lucky, very lucky lucky.
Jim
I mean, we do it to call it top 100 in 10 weather, don’t we?
Nish
We do, yeah, generally. Yeah, yeah. And you know, we played at all times of the year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, we’ve we’ve we’ve had around, you know, I mean, maybe right not right in the depths of winter, but um, we’ve given it a good uh good stretch.
Chris
I think the only real bad one was was Lipok, wasn’t it? And it absolutely shattered down pretty climbed the entire time of day.
Nish
Um that’s the next review coming up, ugly enough. But yeah, it was it was pretty wet that day. We felt like all of our luck had run out in one day. Yeah, yeah. Um I think that the the the closest scare we had before that was uh was Carnoustie, wasn’t it? Where we were just watching this forecast and it looked horrific. And then this magical heavenly top 100 in 10 window opened up for four and a half hours while we’re out there and it didn’t rain. And it was windy, to cause, but it just didn’t rain. And we’re like, and then we got in the car and it absolutely threw it down. It did, yeah.
Chris
Literally, as we sat in the car, it just went yeah, like God wanted us to do this challenge. So apart from lip hook, apparently. Didn’t want us to go to lip hook, yeah. Yeah, damn you. God hate God hates lip hook. We all know that.
Jim
I think that’s gonna be a really real difference when you actually because you know, all the reviews of all the that we’ve done in the podcast for all the courts that you’ve played so far. I mean, the weather has not really been a major negative factor. So uh hopefully didn’t spoil your enjoyment anyway.
Chris
Never, no, never, not yet. I mean we’re relatively well prepared, aren’t we?
Nish
I think we we’re expecting everything out all the usual British weather, don’t we? Um I still have a trolley, so Chris carries now, so I can just load it up with as much stuff as I want, um and it’s not not a problem. So there are multiple sets of waterproofs and all sorts in there.
Chris
Yeah, I think the closest we come to having weather ruin our round is bloody heat stroke in April in Lincolnshire. I know, I know, I think so, yeah.
Nish
Yeah, we’d have thought that that the the heat and the sun has been the thing that’s probably been the thing we’re like it’s too hard to play off.
Jim
Why do we start playing at one in the afternoon? Yeah because we needed to have our breakfast and brunch, sorry, brunch or cheat round.
Nish
That’s right.
Jim
And again, you know, reflecting upon the course that you played, is there any what one round that you would rinse and repeat? Or sorry, get rid of them and start again.
Chris
One of those being Cruden bay. Because when we played crude and bay, I was in a foul mood for some reason. Don’t know why. Left my shoes at it for whatever reason, the weather I I don’t know what it was that day, but I just could not snap out of it at all. Just on a downer that I was on a massive downer.
Nish
Everything that everything that I looked at, I was like, oh shit, I don’t like that, I don’t like that.
Chris
And I was just I wasn’t in the right frame of mind for each other.
Nish
I couldn’t shake him out of it. And I was like, I’m not even trying. Not even trying now. I’m done after four rolls, like I’m just gonna enjoy myself, you know. Even even when we hit that spectacular view, and that normally Chris is just like, oh, look at that, whatever. And it was just like, yeah, it’s alright. I’m just like it’s you’re off, mate. Like it’s like okay, alright.
Jim
So yeah, quickest round ever, done in three hours.
Chris
I would like to, yeah. So I would like to go and do that again because I feel like I probably did that bit of a disservice, um, just just because of my mood for whatever reason.
Nish
Well, I’ll I’ll give you I’ve got a good crude and bay story from just this weekend gone. So uh we played a pairs event. We were lucky enough to be paired up with two amazing guys from Scotland on the second day, one of whom is a member of Cruden Bay. It was hilarious because he as soon as he said he was a member of Cruden Bay, there’s that there’s a there’s that little switch went off in my head, and I was like, I’m gonna I’m gonna absolutely screw Chris over here. I was like, I loved Cruden Bay. Chris, on the other hand, hated it. Disgust and it was just like this is brilliant.
Chris
What this could be amazing chat on the way around. I know, I was just thinking, I was like, you know, then we both like, oh yeah, you know, we’ll we’ll subscribe and listen to your episodes. I was like, please don’t listen to Chris. All the episodes, that’s the worst one to listen to. It’s the only one that I’ve been negative about anywhere.
Jim
About everyone’s going straight to that one now if they haven’t listened to it before.
Nish
Yeah, absolutely. It’s a good episode that because we it was a I think that was probably the first time we had a real difference of opinion. Yeah, we did, yeah. We kind of generally tended to gravitate, or we’ve we’ve gone, yeah, I see what you mean. Like, you know, you it’s your point of view, and I can understand that. Maybe I think a little bit differently, but that was a we were total opposites on that. Yeah. Um, yeah, so that would be a good one to listen to, actually, I I would say. That’s a we sort of roughly knew what we were doing at that point as well, so it was like we knew a little bit about a golf decent golf course, all that kind of thing. You know, before that I was like, I think it was like this is amazing. That’s amazing, this is amazing. Like there was no critical appraisal of anything, it was just like yeah, but yeah, Cruden Bay was was one. Um would I replay anything and reappraise? Well there is a course there’s there’s been two that I’ve not liked and got on well with. I’ll say two and a half. There was one, it was dead early on, and it was one that we’d arranged through you, and that was to play S&A. And we were we were both came back and we’re like, Yeah, that was gonna be my other one to be honest, of the two.
Chris
Like S&A again, I felt like I did a bit of a disservice. Like we played two rounds already, we only played two at that point, so we were fresh out, fresh into it. Yeah, we played two that we really loved, and then for whatever reason, again the weather wasn’t great, it feels like it just didn’t we didn’t get a great reception and like just didn’t the the day just didn’t pan out as the other two had panned out, and I think we came away from that feeling pretty negative. But again, I think if you if we went, I mean you’ve you’ve been back and played again, haven’t you?
Nish
I have been back, and I so I’ve had a chance to do that and re-appraise it, and it was brilliant. Yes, it was like, oh okay, we got the wrong end of the stick with this one. Um I think uh the pro I suppose the problem we had then was that and actually this should if if there is anybody from an actual golf course listening to this, I think it is the power of what you welcome is like because it really put us on the back foot. Oh, for sure. We hadn’t had anything like that before. We were just like, oh uh will I welcome here?
Chris
And I think at that point we were still a bit unsure of like ourselves being in those environments of what it was gonna be like and what yeah, we c we weren’t quite sure whether we’re gonna be welcomed into these clubs or not, and so I think we were probably just a little bit put off by that, weren’t we? Yeah, I think it d that doesn’t it doesn’t set you off, right, does it?
Nish
No, but then you know it’s we’ve not had we’ve not had that anywhere else though, to be fair. No, not really. Then the other two were uh there was Westlanx. Westlanx is very highly regarded, and I I didn’t get it, I didn’t understand that golf course. Um my overriding emotion was it was quite bland, quite featureless. Got exciting towards the end, it was great, but then before that I was like not really doing it for me. Now, it is very highly regarded. I don’t know if that’s a bit of rankings influence, and it’s like, oh, it’s ranked well, so we must think it’s good, whatever. But I don’t know. So that I would probably want to give that another go. And actually, you know, talking to the people who are around their members, staff, everyone was really friendly, so it’s like feels like that perhaps deserves a another another go. And then the last one, the last one would be I probably still would never quite agree with this golf course, but that would be Woodhall Spa and Bunker Central Rock hard for no reason, I thought. But but now and maybe because I’m in a better place with my golf, it’ll be interesting to see how I’d fare there now. Um you’d still be fucking hacking out of bunkers all day. I think I would you would be, wouldn’t you? You just would find them, wouldn’t you? You would, yeah, I would. Yeah, definitely. Was it 180 bunkers? Because like four average like 14 a hole or something.
Chris
And you were in 169.
Nish
I was in a lot of them, yeah. It was it was mad, wasn’t it? Um yeah, those would be my three ones that I’d revisit.
Jim
So any more from for you?
Nish
Um I don’t think so.
Chris
I think that pretty much covers it off. I don’t think I don’t think there’s anywhere else that we’ve kind of given much of a bad rap to, I don’t think.
Nish
So anywhere opposite, anywhere that you’ve initially thought, oh really good, and now you’ve gone and gone, actually, I was quite effusive about this course, but now I’ve played 28 of them. Yeah. I feel a little bit differently about it. Is there anyone that you’ve heaped too much praise on, maybe?
Chris
I mean, I guess the only one that the the most obvious candidate for that is probably Silloth. And like I feel like that. So Silloth obviously, for me personally, holds a lot of good memories and and good vibes, and it’s my home county, and all that kind of stuff. It was the first one we did, and it was a great day. I’ve got a good Silloth story as on in a minute, but I I think, yeah, probably doesn’t I mean still it’s still brilliant, don’t it? But just in terms of some of the others that we’ve played since then, it kind of yeah, it probably takes a little bit of a shine off that in terms of the other experiences.
Nish
I see, I see the rankings, like I get those rankings. Yeah, what’s it ranked at? It’s still pretty high, isn’t it? It’s been going up, hasn’t it? Yeah, mid-40s or something, isn’t it? Yeah, that there’s there’s been a significant chunk better than that now. We you know, we’re we’re we’re nitpicking about the best golf courses in the in the whole country, yeah, right. So it’s the best of the best kind of thing. So it’s like you’re the the worst best, but it’s still a fucking amazing golf course. Yeah, um, but a good story that Silloth. So we were playing Carnoustie with Paul and Barry, and they uh said that they’d been on a trip around kind of Lancashire and Cumbria playing a few golf courses. I played like Preston, I think they played Fulwood or whatever it was, and then so then said that they played Silloth and Chris is like sparkly eyed, he’s like, Oh, Silloth, what do you think? What do you think? What do you think? And he was they were like, they like it.
Chris
Yeah, but there’s two like very direct classwegians.
Nish
I was like howling with laughter, and I was like, Boys, this man works for his board, not anymore. Yeah, exactly. I was like, this is gonna be an interesting chat, but actually, yeah, fair enough. You let it go. You didn’t let it go.
Jim
I never let it go, Paul. Well, there’s an inevitability about all that anyway, a bit of recency bias. Of course, behavioural sciences, isn’t it? You know, when you’ve played so many courses, you do remember, particularly if we’ve had an amazing day, weather-wise, the welcome, which has been fantastic in pretty much all of the courses that you’ve played so far.
Chris
Just for you know, just to there’s no there’s no doubt of what I meant here when I say Silloth’s gone down in the rankings, it’s gone from number one to number two. One to one and a half. Just so we know what just so we know what we’re dealing with here.
Nish
Just for clarity, yeah. It hasn’t tanked, it’s just been superced by one other course. Yeah, I’d I’d I’d I’d go along with that. I mean, you know, first one is like I I mean I’d never really played a links course proper. I’d rather play um Robertdale, I suppose. However, like this was out of the elements, like a very raw golf course. There isn’t all that, you know, finery and manicuredness and whatever. I’ll probably place like a Wallasey or whatever. It was just like, you know, go out there and it’s a fabulous day. And again, we had great weather, all that kind of thing, but we were a bit green, really, weren’t we? And I think if you do stack up some of that golf course, you’d probably go, yeah, like we’ve we’ve just we haven’t played better. We just have one better. Fact. It’s a fact.
Jim
I think we’d turn to kind of rather than the courses, maybe the podcast. I mean obviously a hundred episodes in. What would you tell yourself from episode one?
Chris
Don’t do it. I would say play them all in two years rather than ten. Because then you won’t be like an overweight, bald midlife crisis.
Nish
Wow, you’ve got a really low opinion of yourself, mate. He’s talking about me, I’ve got a head. This is where we found out, this is where he’s talking about me.
Jim
I didn’t want to say, I was just trying to deflect the attention. That would be fallen out now, you’ve made it to a hundred.
Chris
Yeah, no, like golf is just like quite painful physically now, and now I’m 40. Just seems to have like tipped me over the edge, and now like every time I play, my ankles are in bits and my elbows are in bits, and like, yeah, it’s yeah, it’s hard life, man. It’s a hard life. He keeps asking me for Ibuprofen. p Played this weekend and I didn’t have any other proof. I was like, shit, I’m not actually gonna be able to play this round.
Jim
Yeah, um, but this is where you go to an episode with Denika about warming up, warming up properly. Well, exactly.
Nish
Yeah, stretching down and for episode, yeah. What what what advice would you give yourself now with your if you were like, uh remember we’re sat in there we’re fighting sat in the Fletcher Moss, weren’t we? And I was like, I want to do this podcast, I’ve got an idea. I would like you to come and be a co-presenter on the podcast. What would you say to say to looking over your that conversation? It was a Sunday night as well, wasn’t it?
Jim
Yeah, I caught you when you were vulnerable. Yeah, well I didn’t have a job either, did I? I needed something to do, keep me off the streets.
Nish
I would advise myself is ask for some money. Can I do that retrospectively? Is that okay? There’s no monetization strategy.
Jim
So just send your invoice in and see what happens. Sure. Yeah, yeah.
Nish
I I I think uh I would probably say that the whole thing has been thoroughly enjoyable. Like it just doesn’t feel like any kind of hardship and labour to do at all. It’s great. All for our wonderful listeners and watchers and viewers. But um I suppose you’d probably say which I think I’m starting to do now, and I found a sweet spot with how I experienced the golf course. But maybe those that first year I probably didn’t as much. Like I did everything I wanted to do, but I’d love to go and play some of those back now without doing anything. Episode’s already in the can, it’s already done, and just go and just take your bag out and just just play it properly. Like I’ve got a good sweet spot now with when I do play. Like, I don’t feel I come back and go, Oh, I didn’t experience that, I didn’t get my golf fix out of it. But I think there’s that there was that little middle patch, maybe after of course two or three. I mean, we broke the no filming room very quickly and all that kind of stuff, didn’t we? But it was like I think it was after we’d done we’d done the Welsh ones, hadn’t we? And then after that, we started at that point and camera on whatever, and I think that summer I think up until Kanusti, those are the ones where I wish I could do those again. Yeah, maybe but you know Hindsight’s wonderful thing, isn’t it? Absolutely. Yeah, that’s it. But like the biggest shock out of a hundred episodes is not really anything we’ve touched upon too much, is it? But Chris has played one of these golf, so we have played 28, but Chris has actually played 29. Boom, forgot about that. Oh, did you? Interesting. I didn’t.
Chris
I thought he’d be rubbing his face in it all every day. Should do that more often, shouldn’t I? Really? Absolutely. Just just occasionally just send random pictures of me at Loch Lomond.
Nish
So I mean, you know, you we haven’t really talked about it, we’ve teased it a few times, haven’t we? Loch Lomond, whatever, but yeah, tell us about it, mate. How was it?
Chris
I mean, it was by far a how did it come about? By far and away the best course we played. Um so yeah, like head and shoulders above everything else. So yeah, it’s a shame, shame you’ve not been there, Nish, really. Um no, how was it? So we so we came about through a listener, so James, um who’s been there? Absolutely guest and listener. Um so he managed to get a charity four-ball, um, and yeah, basically got in contact with us and said, Would I really like to join us? And that was directed at Nish. Um so Nish checked his calendar, realised he couldn’t make it, and uh screw it under the knife that day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was getting getting his lenny surgery done, um, and then handed the offer over to me. Um, at which point I said, uh, yes please. Um so yeah, then so some so James and I, and James’s dad went and played Loch Lomond, and um just so we’d just come back from Castletown, hadn’t we? So we’d been in Castletown like the Thursday, Friday, and then it was the Bank Holiday Monday, went up to Scotland, and it was I mean it was genuine top 100 in 10 weather. It was beautiful, like the sun was out, May Bank holiday in Scotland. It was honestly just incredible. The most beautiful place we played, I think. Like Glen eagles was beautiful, but this was probably like another level because you’ve got the lake and you’ve got the mountains as well, and just it’s so exclusive in the city. So it’s such an exclusive golf club. Like you kind of go in and there’s there’s kind of very few people kicking around, you kind of drive up this massive driveway, get to the clubhouse, which is this huge kind of stately home kind of thing, it’s huge. One thing that you that you until you’ve been there, you don’t quite get is like the the manicuredness of the of the golf course is amazing, but then like the flower beds around it are just incredible. It’s like going into like a proper like stately home, like National Trust property or something. Like it’s beautiful, all these beautiful colours around which is the time of year we were there. Um so yeah, it’s just unbelievably beautiful, like just it’s gorgeous, yeah. Um, you know, the the course is set on the on the edges of the lake, and then you’ve got the kind of mountains in the background, it’s um it’s pretty beautiful. Um, but yeah, then you kind of go inside and you go to the locker room, and like I know Nish loves the locker room, like always I I was in there and I was hanging around in more ways than one. I was just sitting in that locker room and I was going, Nish should fucking love this. I’m so glad I’m doing this on my own. So yeah, I took I actually took loads of pictures that day as well, Jim, just to rub the shit now he’s gonna be forwarded on. I have yeah, yeah.
Nish
Well, I said I want to see the pictures. I was scared, there’s no way he’s gonna take pictures. Like it’s just these 80 pictures came through. I was like, who is this? And what have you done with Chris? Kind of thing, it was like everything, little details on the lockers and all this kind of stuff.
Chris
It’s like amazing, yeah. But yeah, it’s pretty cool that you get to like the the barriers, and there’s a guy just like you know, if your name’s not down, you’re not coming, not coming in, yeah. Um, and then when you yeah, when you tell him I was I mean, I was worried I wasn’t gonna get in, to be honest, because I my name wasn’t really on the thing, it was kind of James, and I was like, Tailing behind him. He was like, Is he gonna let me in anyway? I got in. They didn’t they didn’t kick me out, which was nice. Um, but yeah, then like you said, the locker room is just incredible, like it’s I don’t even know how to describe it. There’s like lots of like leather sofas kicking around, there’s a guy there to kind of do whatever you want to do. Locker room, maybe yeah. Um, but yeah, so because it’s like there’s not that many lockers in there, but what basically what they do is they slide people’s names out so the members’ name gets slid into their locker for the day, so they kind of go in and your locker’s all set up, you and your guests. Um, but yeah, I mean this is this is the plushiest thing I’ve ever seen by quite some margin.
Nish
What’s the vibe like at the club?
Chris
Unbelievably relaxed.
Nish
Yeah, okay.
Chris
Like you kind of go in there again, you go into these like private things, and you’re a bit like, ooh, is it gonna be a bit like snooty and a bit like not even a single bit of that? Amazing, so casual. Like, obviously, these are all like mega wealthy individuals, and the guy we played with a guy called Jim was an incredible guy, like American well, he’s like Scottish-born kind of Americans who kind of works between Scotland and America, yeah. Just such a lovely guy, and so that down to earth. But but yeah, the vibe was it was very similar to kind of Gleneagles, but like just for golfers. Do you know what I mean? Gleneagles is like there’s a load of other stuff going on there, other people, and like, but yeah, just like yeah, not at all what I was expecting. Really casual, really laid back, and like wear whatever you want, put your trainers on fine, whatever. Was there ever a moment when you missed me? Where I missed you, yeah. Absolutely not. Look at the surprise on that face. So what was that question? Yeah, miss you.
Jim
Um yeah, miss you driving back.
Nish
You play in a top 100 golf course, and we’re used to sort of chatting about it and reviewing it.
Chris
Yeah, I mean, playing with James was quite good because James is obviously with a similar mindset, he’s kind of doing the same sort of challenge, so you know, we kind of had those conversations um as we were going around anyway. Um, but yeah, it did feel a bit weird doing it on my own, to be honest. Um, but also it was a little bit like just yeah, just get in there, yeah.
Nish
Yeah, well, I’ll I’ll remember that. Um he will forgive you at some point. I don’t think so.
Chris
When he gets to go and play it for me. No, he won’t. No, considerably less money than I paid to play it. But but I mean, what about the course then? The course is an interesting one. So, like I say, it’s set on the shores of the of the lake, so it’s stunning, absolutely stunning. It is very difficult. I think probably I’d say it’s I think it’s probably the most difficult course we played so far. Wow. Really keep saying we, but I’ve played so far. Don’t know about you, Nish, but um yeah, I found it really difficult. Like I wasn’t playing that badly, and I was hitting some good shots, but there are so many bunkers on that golf course that are just almost unfairly placed, I would say. So you had a drive that’s like right down the middle, like slightly right a middle, and then all of a sudden you find yourself you’re in a bunker and you’re like, oh shit.
Jim
We love those fairway bunkers, don’t we?
Chris
Yeah, but also like once you get in them, it’s a nightmare getting out. They’re huge, they’re vast, and they’ve got this really thin, weird kind of white sanding.
Nish
Yeah, I think you remember you saying that.
Chris
It was like because you you struggled out the bunkers, didn’t you? I really struggled out the bunkers. Yeah, yeah. Really struggled out. That’s rare. I mean, it looked they looked so pristine and beautiful, like bright white against the green. They looked incredible, but I found them really hard to play out of.
Nish
Interesting.
Chris
And like normally I’m pretty good at like I don’t go in that many bunkers generally when I’m playing. I I was in bunkers all day, all day long.
Nish
Is is there anything visually that has compared to Loch Lumina’s what we’re what we’ve played? Do you think? I mean, okay, you’ve got the things like the pristine white and obviously, you know, whatever, but yeah, terms of like maybe the course, if you take the backdrop and all that kind of stuff away, like the actual lay of the land of the course. Yeah, is there any is that similar to anything? Because listen, we have to we have to appreciate here there are not many people gonna get a chance to play at Loch Loman. No, absolutely not. Because I haven’t managed to find to find anybody to take me on yet, so it’s it and that may not happen, so yeah, and I’m kind of a big deal.
Chris
What was it saying about what was it saying earlier about you not being a prisoner? Yeah, yeah. Um we’ve not played that many Parkland courses, so it’s kind of hard to compare. I would say the one that does spring to mind is like a much longer and much more difficult Queens, Glen Eagles.
Nish
Interesting, okay.
Chris
So it’s kind of got yeah, it’s kind of got those kind of visuals in terms of the tree line and kind of um yeah, and the kind of plush greenness. Um yeah, I don’t think there’s anywhere that really compares. It’s very that’s a that’s what you wonder, yeah. Exactly. I mean, like I said, we’ve not played many of the parklums that are on the list yet, I don’t think.
Nish
Um I don’t even know what what there is parking on. There’s probably not many to be honest. There’s only a handful. I think not particularly not now, the rankings kind of like a parkland, yeah.
Chris
Um so yeah, it’s difficult to kind of compare it to like yeah, difficult to compare it to most of the other courses we played. Um but yeah, I think it’s hard to it’s hard to extract it from its surroundings. I think without its surroundings, it would be a very different golf course in respect of like I think even in respect of ranking, the experiences, the experience. The experience of being there, and the experience of like you know, the the locker room and the clubhouse and all that kind of stuff.
Nish
I think it’s hard to touch on something there, um, which I hadn’t actually ever really considered. That do you think that that stuff they’re gonna say no, clearly, but do you think that stuff influences where a course is ranked? And the reason I ask that is there’s some notable ones that are gonna be fucking hard to get on, like Skibo, Ardfin, things like that.
Jim
Yeah.
Nish
And you were talking about confirmation um recency bias and stuff like that, but you surely there’s a bit of a human being just going, you can’t get on this golf course, and I’ve managed to do it on a jammy git.
Chris
Yeah, yeah.
Nish
Yeah, I’m I’m gonna say it’s amazing. Yeah, yeah. That kind of thing. Do you think do you think that plays into it? No, I’m not saying necessarily lock loads, but like do you think in some courses it does?
Chris
You’d like to hook, you’d like to think not. You’d like to think not, but I mean the what a wonderful place your head is, then, Chris. But yeah, I mean the reality of it is probably it’s probably different, but I mean, just just kind of leaning into that a little bit, like it felt pretty incredible being there, you know. You like like you say, like it felt so exclusive, you’re like, this is fucking cool, like this is genuinely cool. This is why I wanted to do this. Yeah, it’s the first one that we played that’s like properly like a really difficult to get on, like, and it was it felt pretty special to be honest. But it did.
Jim
Well green eyed money.
Nish
So exclusive that even Nish can’t get in. Even even me. Um all right, okay. Well look, let’s uh let’s keep fingers crossed I can get on to Loch Lomond because I don’t even know how we would go about doing some kind of review for that. Because will you remember it in with your fading memory in advancing years? Probably not, Nish. No, unlikely. No, so you’ll have to that’s where those pictures are coming handy, mate. Yeah, that’s why you take them. That’s what it’s for.
Chris
I see that’s why I’ve got no memories of anything, Nish, because I never take pictures of it.
Nish
It was so funny. I remember giving James a heads up, and I was like, Will you please just make sure you get Chris to take some pictures? And it’s like, he’ll he’ll do it. I was like, he fucking won’t. He really won’t. Like sometimes he’ll get to like the whole 17 and be like, You ready to film a signature? I haven’t got my phone, Nish, it’s in the car. In fact, I don’t even know if it’s in the car, it must have been at home.
Jim
Like when I did he last see it, yeah, absolutely.
Nish
Usually about two weeks ago. I have a couple of questions for both of you. Um I’m gonna ask you, and you are included in this gym, is what was your most surprising golf course on the ones that we’ve played? I appreciate you haven’t played them, however, you’ve been party to us giving you updates and whatever, and listening to previews, listening to reviews. I’m gonna give you an answer as well, of course, but maybe we’ll start with Chris to give you some time to think. Uh, absolutely, and I think but a surprise could be good or bad.
Jim
I think the reaction when you just come back from I think it was if you played tournament, Ganton.
Nish
Oh, the pairs thing, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, okay.
Jim
And you were in you you were just in awe of the course and the whole experience, yeah. And all of a sudden, that was one of the top courses that you that that you played up to that point and still remains so. But I think you were just so effusive about it that um that’s one that really sticks in my head because when you’re talking about it, yeah, you know, Cheshire Cat here. Yeah, yeah. Sorry, I know you’re from Cumbria, but Cumbria Cat. Yeah. That might mean some different But that just that just jumped into my head as as you know the reaction from seeing you in as part of this challenge and how much you’d enjoyed that experience.
Nish
I didn’t enjoy that first seven holes at Ganton, I’ll tell you that.
Jim
And I think it was unexpected as well, even though it was high, it’s it is highly ranked. I don’t think you it’s not one of the big names. I think that when you went to Gleneagles, I expected you to come back and you found the whole experience wonderful. Obviously, you took your wives there as well. It was an amazing weekend. Obviously, you uh you thought Queen’s Course was was amazing, but I think it the first you you kind of expected it though, because it is Gleneagles, it was the whole yeah atmosphere and ambiance. I think Ganton was the first one where where that stuck in your head at this time.
Nish
Interesting. Well, that’s good. That’s straight off the straight off the back. There, Jim, well done. Yeah, how about you, Chris? Anything surprising out of the ones we played?
Chris
Uh I think I now you mentioned Ganton. Ganton is I to be fair, like I I I was going to a Ganton expecting to like Ganton, like I know it’s well renowned. Um, but yeah, that was it definitely exceeded my expectations, that one for sure. But the the the course that I’d noted down was actually somewhere more local to us, and it was Delamere. Because Delamere is like it was barely in the rankings, like 96, 97 or something. Uh it’s only a couple of miles down the road from us, never played it before. Kind of going in, we were playing with a friend. I was like, Yeah, I’ll rock up on it, I’m sure it’ll be a nice course. Delamere blew me away. I was I was in love with Delamere and to the point where I was like, Can I sign up for membership? Is that possible? Like uh like I can you know I can feasibly get here in 45 minutes and go and play it every every weekend, and I’d love to do that. Yeah, so that was the one that took me a little bit by surprise because I just loved that, and it kind of the way it built as we went round, I it just kept getting better and better and better, and it just there’s something about the journey that it took you on, and I I mean I played incredibly well that day as well, which probably helps. But um, but yeah, I love Delamere.
Nish
It was great, wasn’t it? That I mean, like um we we are fortunate we’ve had the the privilege to play quite a few of those sandbelt Heathlands now. Yeah, it stacks up against those, you know. If if that was down there and it had then the influx of the money that went into the conditioning and it was like it’s not in bad condition in any way, shape, or form. However, if it was just that gone from like 95% to 100% conditioning, yeah, people they’d be they’d have a uh uh queue for decades for people trying to join for membership at Delamere, it’s that good, yeah. And it’s really reasonable to play there, really reasonable to play, like hidden, almost a hidden gem that yeah, yeah, and in great terrace as well. And it’s scandalous that it’s dropped out of the rankings in this in this update. So, yeah, interesting. Um Delamere. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, save the Delamere too. Oh well. Um I’m I’m gonna go the other way with surprise. Okay, I’m gonna go back to a course I’ve already talked about, and that was Woodall Spa. I’m shocked that is the home of England Golf. Yeah, I really am. You really hated it, didn’t you? I didn’t, I just didn’t, I didn’t get it. And also, this this is the thing we’ve spoken about this before. This is the funny take on the surprise for Woodhall Spa. It’s absolutely in the middle of nowhere, so nobody is local to that course. So everybody must find it impossible to get to, and yet it’s the home of English.
Chris
It’s just like why why is it geographically in the middle of the country, but it’s geographically miles from anywhere.
Nish
But you went there and it was just like that it’s just like what I can’t I couldn’t get my head round it, like really couldn’t get my head round it. Um, in terms of a positive surprise, I mean I don’t know, look, uh ultimately we research these things to the nth degree, don’t we? And we read history and and whatever. Um but I suppose in terms of a type of course that I was like, alright, it sort of makes sense now was probably Gullane. Gullane took me by surprise. There was a c there was a couple of things happening. One one wasn’t such a great surprise, and then the other one was a good one. Like, you know, everybody goes crazy links golf, links golf, links golf, links Golf. Me, I’m a Heatling person person. Like personally, that that just works for my eye and the way I see a golf course. But there it just made sense. The thing that was a bit of a like surprise to me was I up until that point I’d been used to playing really good golf courses, and you were largely secluded. There was you didn’t really see that many people, you might see two or three holes. You get to the top of Gullane Hill, you can see the whole damn course, and like just there’s just people crawling about all over the place playing golf, and you’re like, Oh, like it it took a little while to get used to the fact that, oh yeah, shit, there are other people who want to play golf and they’re on the course at the same time, it’s not their fault, you know, and like you you sort of a bit like when we just have played Walton Heath and it’s burnt out everywhere. It took me nine holes to get over the fact that you can’t see the contour of the hole, like it’s just brown, yeah. Um, and then you’ve got to work to try and spot that and and see through that and then find what the the holes it’s so it was a bit like that when I got to Gullane, but by the end of it, you know, I was just mesmerised by it. It was a great golf course. Yeah, I think that probably is a bit underranked, really, because it’s in the 60s, which feels very harsh on that kind of terrain, um, particularly where it is as well, like it’s it’s next to Muirfield. So it’s basically the same ground as Muirfield, and which is in the top ten, probably. I think you know four or five, yeah. Uh you know, so uh that those would be my sort of surprise courses on this on this kind of yeah long journey that we’ve yeah, I think taken on not a negative one for me, I think surprise because everyone raves about it, and I probably would rave about it if it wasn’t in as bad a condition as it was was Hollingwell.
Chris
I was horrified by how bad a condition by that.
Nish
Not good enough. Yeah, not good enough. It wasn’t, was it really on the I mean, you know, everyone had been dry. Yeah, so it was like it didn’t feel but yeah. I mean, the with me with Hollinwell, it was that final stretch. Was it for I mean I think the holes themselves were amazing but I you’re right. You couldn’t play off the fairway sometimes, yeah. Yeah, I mean it was better now, like we played them and it’s bone dry we played in better, yeah, yeah. Much better ways now, you know. Um well, let’s let’s turn our attention to what’s due next. We don’t fully know, we just had a bit of a chat with the car on the way back from Walton Heath about what we intend on doing, but you know, we’ve got
Nish
in the pipeline, potentially we’ve got this year, we’ve got Wentworth, which will be amazing. We’re thinking it might be around when the BMW PGA event is on, so there might be some stands up, which should be unbelievable. Like what an experience that that is gonna be.
Chris
Do I get a free drop from the stands when I hit it in the is that doable?
Jim
I mean I can just imagine it’s gonna be a Happy Gilmour type um thing. Like a Scotty Scheffler type thing where you just get a free drop and you make a birdie.
Chris
Like you don’t even have to find your ball. Like, you didn’t have to find it, it was presume that it’s lost. Yeah, yeah, just presume that it’s gone. It’s yeah, it’s it must have been there.
Nish
Yeah, hang on a minute, you’ve got to go find your ball.
Chris
We had a bit of a chat this about this the other day, and all those things that you see on YouTube of like golfers saying, you know, what would an 18 handicap or shoot around the open golf course, and like John Rahm saying, Oh, nothing less than 120. And it’s like, but A, there’s no fucking rough left because everyone’s trampled it down. B, every time you hit one offline, you just get a free drop anyway, and you get to drop it where you like. Piece of peace had score actually like 65 under there around there, if it was in those conditions.
Nish
It’s just that it’s madness, absolute madness. But um, yeah, so we’ve got we’ve got that. We’ve got um we will be playing Birkdale again. That hopefully happens in the next few weeks, which again would mean there’ll be some stand stood up from the open. That would be just unbelievable. Like, what a what an experience that is gonna be. Um, they will be empty. Well no, they’ll know that we’re going.
Chris
No, Jim, you’re coming and you’re following us around and you’re gonna cheer from every standard part of the world bring your family around me.
Nish
Come on, shh. Who do you think you are? This doesn’t come for free, you know. All of this sitting here and asking us questions, channeling and you’re in a niche, you know. There’s a cost to it. Well, you’ve got to bring them all to fill the stands.
Jim
Time equals money. Just remember that. Just remember that.
Nish
Yeah, you and my my time in lieu of any payment, yeah. Um, and then we are still at some point we’re gonna get on to the old course, which again, I mean, those three things this year would be a bad way to finish the year. Unreal, yeah, absolutely unreal. And then next year, uh, well, we have we bought charity voucher to play at Troon. So posted stamp. I mean, what a place to get your holding one, Chris. That’s the place to do it, isn’t it? That’s the place to do it. Yeah, um, so we’ve got to use that bio, so we have to play that. So that’s led us down to you know what what are the courses we’re gonna play at that time. Well, I think we’ve I feel next year’s not the good year to go to Ireland because of Ryder Cup, but I think certainly get something really planned in um and and concrete on that. And then yeah, I don’t know really. It’s kind of there’s a lot of big hitters we’re ticking off this year. I mean, we might get to 32 before the year’s out, which is 33 for me.
Chris
That’s sorry, a third of the way through the way through lagging behind, yeah.
Nish
On what was it we used to say at the start? On that bombshell, wowser. So uh well, I suppose we’ve got to put uh stars next to these uh things now, don’t we? He’s like course number 28 slash 29. What what a day number 28 slash 29. Um yeah, correct. Well, look, I I think I’ll end on a couple of things. Number one, if if it sounds like fun playing with us, and it is fun, actually, we do have a good time playing golf, and even if we say so ourselves, everybody who’s has played with us so far has generally said they’ve enjoyed it because it makes them feel better about their own golf. Um, but thank you to all of those people who’ve helped us get to 100 episodes, get to 28 golf courses. Um, we do have a society that we run that is completely free to join. We are playing Lindrik, which is a Ryder Cup venue. We’re gonna be having dinner in the Ryder Cup room and all that kind of thing. So that’s a that’s a great event coming up in October. Get on our website, you can get some more details on that. And I’d like to thank you two for persevering with this for 100 episodes. Uh with what? So two years, so that means yeah, there’s another 400 to go. So that’ll make you feel good about it, isn’t it? And where do we resign? Um, so yeah, look, thank you to everyone who’s stuck around. Um, we are determined to make the next hundred even better than they have been so far. Not possible. Certainly better audio quality than some of them.
Jim

Chris

Nish
